"Jazz Pants"

Um... Remember those cool "Jazz Pants" dancers used to wear to class EVERYDAY?!
Well I somehow own 3 pair right now, and I kinda wear them everyday.......
and it's NOT OKAY!
I'M JUST GONNA GO AHEAD AND BLAME JEN FROM "CAMP LA JOLLA" FOR GIVING THEM TO ME ALONG WITH ALL HER OTHER AEROBICS GEAR. 100% NOT GUILTY!
(only for wearing them.... and secretly liking them.)
HAPPY THURSDAY :)

"Signed, SEALED, delivered.....I'M YOURS SD!"

Well, it's final. I just signed my gypsie life away to San Diego for AT LEAST another year.
I'm returning to camp this SUMMER! Just found out they created a special position for me at Wellspring Camp La Jolla, where I get to teach DANCE and FITNESS CLASSES to ALL camps. I also just made it onto Tessandra Chavez's Contemporary Dance Company ''UNITY." I just had a company meeting and I am SO STOKED out of my mind to train with these dancers and learn from these choreographers.
I was at rehearsal the other night (sick) until 2am, but I couldn't but help SMILE! This year has been such a whirlwind for me and all I've ever wanted out of this year is to KNOW WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE. I went home for thanksgiving and HAD SO MUCH FUN, but I never feel like I am needed there. It's an odd feeling. I LOVE MY FAMILY, I PARTY SO HARD WITH MY FRIENDS, but there's always a sense of needing to be somewhere else. And I'm learning to be ok with that...... especially when the cold starts freezing my body solid, it's more than easy for me to PEACE OUT.
As I left the Utah Blizzard, and flew into Sunny San Diego I looked out of the plane window and FELT RELIEVED to be "home." I remember feeling that same way when I would fly back to Oahu. I still miss that island DAILY, but I've learned that those feelings will never go away or lessen. Hawaii will always have 3/4 of my heart. But for now, I know this is where I need to be in order for me to grow and CHANGE! It's been a HUGE CHALLENGE starting over here in a big city, but I know 2011 is going to be a very big EVENTFUL YEAR!.......
I'll Be Back.......... one day!

Oh Hello Blog World............

My soul purpose for this blog is to help me with journaling. I'm usually REALLY good at it, but lately I've been really tired from work and uninspired to write. I was going through some old journals the other day and I've come to the conclusion that I've had an interesting/adventurous life. As I was reading I came across a certain "List." Have you ever written down the "jobs" you've had in your life?
NO?...
Well... you should try it, because it's pretty funny... ESPECIALLY if you're the type of person (like me) who likes to juggle 3+ jobs at a time.
Here is "MY LIST"...
(I added about 10 more, DON'T JUDGE)

1."MINI SECRETARY/ORGANIZER" for my dad @ the age of 12... YES this counts, why? because I got paid! (that's the rule of this game)

2."DANCE TEACHER" @ my mom's dance studio...Age 15

3."WAITRESS" @ Lonestar Steakhouse
*Favorite memory: Hiding in the gigantic freezer so I didn't have to line dance up and down the isles.

4."SCRAPBOOK GIRL" -I counted sheets of paper, and shipped off stationary for a paper company... BORING!

5."NBA UTAH JAZZ DANCER" -They chopped my hair and my family almost disowned me! It was a GOOD time :)

6."SURF STORE GIRL" @ Turtle Bay
7."TEA CART GIRL" @ Turtle Bay
8."BAY CLUB GIRL" @ Turtle Bay (thank heavens 4 Turtle Bay)
Talk about a perfect view from "The Office"

9."TAP, BALLET, JAZZ, TECHNIQUE, & ATTEMPTED HIP-HOP TEACHER" @ 24/7 Danceforce Studio in Hawaii

10. You know those people who hold the signs up in the airport?........YA, I DID THAT!

11."NANNY"... 2 weeks tops!

12. I Sailed around the Hawaiin Islands and 1/2 way across the world as a "CRUISE LINE DANCER"

13."CRUISE STAFF GIRL" We basically entertained the guests & partied with them all night. This is only a "taste" of what went on @ 80's Night. Mini was usually my partner in crime.

14."MODEL" @ Abercrombie & Fitch...ha! JK. I worked the floor for a day, then got sent to the "back room" because of my FIRE RED hair.
15."ABERCROMBIE & FITCH AFTER HOURS" -Folded clothes till 3am while repeating the words:"I do have a meaningful job!" over & over & over in my head.

16. "GAP"... for the discount%

17."WAITRESS" @ Ritzy Italian Restaurant, until I spilled Red Wine on this rich lady, which demoted me to my next job......
18."HOSTESS" @ Ritzy Italian Restaurant

19."PET HOSPITAL" -only job I could land with out having a degree in San Francisco. One time a dog swallowed a sock & the X-rays were HILARIOUS... HE LIVED.

20."MANSION CLEANER/SPIDER KILLER"... for this LADY!

21."LAB RAT" -Failed attempt several times. Apparently all the COOL KIDZ at school were doing it... but me. I was DENIED for having a bad liver... probably a blessing.

22."DANCE COMPETITION JUDGE" -not for this show...obviously

23."PAPER BUNDLER" for APX... Location: HELL(Texas)

24. "FAT CAMP" -Counselor & Fitness/Dance Instructor. BEST JOB I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! ***** 5 stars!

25. "CORE RHYTHMS GIRL" -Aerobics Instructor for Mary Murphy...aka "Queen of Scream"

26."PERSONAL TRAINER"... FINALLY!

27."CHOREOGRAPHER/DANCER".......SD Bound :)

NEEDLESS TO SAY, I've had some pretty funny jobs. However, I've learned that work is work and if you can do it with a SMILE or a LAUGH, it makes life that much more enjoyable.
If not?..... Put in your 2 weeks and move onto the next adventure :)
